The women & girls’ section was formed in 2018 and we played Festival style cricket in our first season . We have coaching for Women & Girls of all abilities and ages. We provide a safe and supportive environment for all our women and girls to learn and develop their cricketing skills. Our main aim is to have fun playing cricket while keeping fit, being sociable and hopefully developing a love for the game of cricket.

Women's Training
Training sessions are organised and supervised by coaches who are DBS checked and ECB qualified, several our coaches have Coach Support Worker and Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications.

Women's Matches
We play in the Dorset Cricket League with matches normally played on a Sunday

Volunteers
All our coaches and Team managers are volunteers. We are always keen to involve anyone interested in helping and improving our women & girls’ section. An advanced level of cricketing knowledge is not required to make a difference and there are many supporting roles available, from assisting coaches at training sessions to helping at matches. We regularly look to secure places on training courses run by Dorset Cricket Board for those volunteers committed to helping Verwood CC and who wish to learn more about coaching, umpiring, or scoring.
